Get Nokia N70 with UMTS mode Trick

Lock your 3G Signal (For Nokia N70)
Most of Nokia N70 users today are looking for applications to lock their 3G signal, which is also known as UMTS. This is different from updating Nokia N70's firmware, this will be much safer. Its primary DISADVANTAGE is that when you change to dual mode, you will have to redo the process.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Phoenix 2008
2. Data Cable
3. PC (Windows XP)
4. Your Nokia N70

PROCEDURE:
1. Install Phoenix 2008
NOTE:Uninstall PC suite if your have previously installed pc suite. If you want to have them both installed then first you have to install Phoenix 2008 then install PC Suite.

2. After installation, connect your phones using the data cable and open Phoenix 2008

3. Go to File~Manage Connection

4. Click New.

5. Select USB then click Next.

6. When wizard has finished checking your connection and found your device, Click Next. And then click Finish.

7. Go to File~Scan Product

8. After scanning, your window should look like this.

9. Go to Product~System Mode

10. Click the drop down menu of Selected System Mode and select WCDMA

11. Click Write. After clicking it, notice that your phone will restart. You can disconnect your phone when it is restarting.

Now, on your phone go to Tools~Settings~Network and its should look like this


and if you open the network mode, it looks the same, like this. If you have opened it, DO NOT SELECT ANYTHING just press Cancel or else you will be doing the whole process again.
